Re: NTTM Meeting in the Rec « Result #4 on May 18, 2007, 3:42pm »
Comber TNC NISC would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend a meeting to discuss the proposed stadium development at the Maze/Long Kesh site. This meeting will take place on Tuesday 5th June at Comber Recreational Football Club, from 8pm.
Through our dedication to supporting our national team, we have travelled throughout Europe to watch our heroes and had the privilege of witnessing some truly magnificent stadiums, for example the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. This has also afforded us the opportunity to witness how stadiums should not be built, e.g. Enrst Happel Stadium Austria, and provided an insight into how a stadium at the Maze/Long Kesh may turn out to be a ‘White Elephant’.
Our members are dismayed at the continued push for the Maze/Long Kesh site due to purely political reasons. It is our belief that the best interests of the sports involved, and indeed the fans, are not being considered due to reasons that lie beyond the control of the sporting fraternity.
As a supporters club, we cannot stand by and watch the future of our national team be put into jeopardy. We do not want another Millennium Dome on our doorsteps. We do not want to be dragging our children/grand-children to a soulless stadium in the middle of nowhere in ten year’s time.
Therefore, we have asked the Amalgamation of Northern Ireland Supporters Club to prepare a presentation on the subject and provide us with the opportunity to pose our questions. As football supporters in the Ards area, we request your presence to ensure your thoughts and concerns are heard.
This invite will be also be forwarded to a number of councillors/ MLA's in the local area as we believe they need to hear our concerns.
Really need as many members of the club to attend this lads. If you care about Northern Ireland football's future in any way, you will make sure you are there
Re: BBQ - 2nd June « Result #5 on May 2, 2007, 7:38pm »
Club BBQ will take place on the 2nd June at Comber Rec. This will be a joint event with North Down NISC Doors open at 7pm for the Denmark -v- Sweden match. Following this there will be a Disco. Tickets are priced at £7.50, which includes the food, and will be available at the next club meeting (8th May). As this is a joint event, we only have 60 tickets, so please let a committee member know if you require a ticket.

Dear Mr. Wells,
Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your email. My service provider managed to disconnect my connection by accident and has only just resolved the issue.
As per my previous emails, I fully appreciate the offer of a 1-2-1 chat with yourself on the issues around the proposed stadium at the Maze, but once again I must stress that I firmly believe that it would be a more worthwhile exercise if you held a Q&A session with a group of supporters, e.g. the members of the Official Supporters Scheme. If you, the IFA, have nothing to hide and are basing your decision on the best business and football rationale, then why are you so afraid to enter into a public debate? If the reasons for moving to the Maze are so overwhelming, then surely you will be able to answer questions put your way in a manner that will get your ‘customers’ on board the project.
As you hold the keys to the Northern Ireland Football Team’s future in your hands, I would like to hope that you are not ‘prepared to buy in to emotional issues’ and are basing the decision on the best business and football rationale. However, I strongly believe that moving the stadium to the Maze is neither the best business nor football move. All the evidence is pointing towards a stadium within the Capital City and this has to be taken into account. I for one do not want to be sitting in a soulless, half empty stadium once the novelty factor has worn of.
If the government is not blackmailing the IFA, then why are they are not prepared to consider any other site than the Maze? Why are they putting so much pressure on you to sign a deal to move to the Maze? Why is there so much secrecy?
Your MORI pole results show that nearly half the people surveyed did not know there was a proposed new stadium; can I ask why neither the Government nor the IFA are shouting from the rooftops about this? There is not a day that goes by when the new Wembley is not in the news; why is this not the case with the Maze? The proposed move to the Maze is nothing to do with the best Business or Football rationale. It is purely Political. You know it, I know it and the majority of supporters who care about the future of our team know it.
In the last paragraph of your previous email, you mention that you are also interested in the opinions of those who do not attend matches and why. I am extremely glad to hear this. There is nothing I would like more to see than every person within this country wearing a Northern Ireland shirt and wanting to watch their team. Although I fully agree a new stadium will help increase the potential number of people attending matches, you must remember that it is only half the battle getting them into the ground, the real battle is keeping them coming back. It was not long ago when you could not get a ticket to watch the Belfast Giants. Now that the novelty has worn off they are lucky if the stadium is partially full. I fear this will be the case for the International Football Team, especially when there is little incentive to attract customers to a stadium in the middle of nowhere, hence why a prison was previously built on the site.
In reply to your comment ‘That has to include communities beyond Belfast as I am sure you will agree and as I see it commercially and economically Lisburn will become part of great Belfast anyway as Wembley is part of Greater London. Or is that too radical?’, please be aware that I again fully agree that it has to include communities beyond Belfast. I am not from Belfast, and although I am previously from Comber, which you may include in the Belfast catchment area, I actually now reside in Millisle. With country roads and no access to a motorway or even carriageway, it takes me nearly as long to get into Belfast as it does for someone from Dungannon, for example. Will you be taking into account the thoughts of the communities around myself and further down the Ards Peninsula or is it simply people who live in the West of the Country?
Please also note that I do not feel it is too radical to envisage Lisburn becoming part of Greater Belfast, however I do believe that a number of residents from Lisburn would take issue with you on such a comment.
One final point I would like to touch on is, in your email dated the 28th February, you stated that ‘The letter sent to me did not even have the date of the meeting on it’, in relation to the one sent by the organisers of the Stadium for Belfast debate in the Waterfront Hall to yourself. I have followed this up and have been informed that they told you the date twice in face-to-face meetings. Was this not the case?
In conclusion, I once again call for you to hold a public debate on the proposed new Stadium or at the very least the members of the Official Suppoters Scheme. I fully expect that once again you will ignore this point, but I will continue to ask for this until it is acknowledged.

Dear Andrew
Just off to a FIFA meeting in Manchester. Why not come in for a chat?
I hope you appreciate that the IFA has to base its decision-making on the best business and football rationale. I am not prepared to buy in to emotional issues. The government is not blackmailing the IFA. They have made an offer which we are debating. We are also about to launch a 5 year plan for consultation which discusses how the IFA is to become self-sufficient. If we reject the Maze outright there is no other option on the table at the moment which will suit the time frame. I do not think you appreciate the gravity of the situation regarding Windsor Park and the implications for the IFA.
I am also interested in the opinions of those who do not attend our matches and why? Providing a new and exciting stadium which brings people in from all communities and where families feel safe is paramount. That has to include communities beyond Belfast as I am sure you will agree and as I see it commercially and economically Lisburn will become part of great Belfast anyway as Wembley is part of Greater London. Or is that too radical?.
Anyway give me a call on 669197 and arrange a chat,

Mr Wells,
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my email. Please see my comments in blue below.
Mr Rogers
Thank you for your comments.
Yes, I have attended many events at the Millennium Stadium and on the last occasion it took me from 0830 in the morning from my home in Buckinghamshire until past midnight for 90 minutes of football, a journey I can do on non-match days in 5 hours return. Several hundred people did not get to the Millennium in time for Sunday's final between Chelsea and Arsenal as the result of congestion. I am sure you are aware of that. I have also travelled by rail, or attempted to but on one occasion but could not get on a train from Reading.
I fail to see the point you are making here. Are you suggesting that the Millennium Stadium should not have been built in or around Cardiff? I very much doubt that a journey that you can do in five hours return, took over fifteen and a half hours solely due to a football match. I have driven to Cardiff on match day from Reading and it took me slightly over two hours, however the same journey has taken one of my friends', who is originally from Cardiff, over five hours on a Sunday afternoon when no match was being played. I would suggest that the reason for your long journey was more to do with problems on the motorway and surrounding roads, rather than the location of the stadium itself.
You also refer to several hundred people not getting to the 'Millennium in time for Sunday's final between Chelsea and Arsenal as a result of congestion'. Although I was not there, from reading the various reports I believe this was not due to congestion, but as a result of a major signal failure on the railway line between Cardiff and Newport. I am sure you will agree this has nothing to do with the location of the stadium itself.
The points you have made above do little but indicate the exact reasons why we should not welcome a move to an out of town stadium. After reviewing the Maze/Long Kesh Master plan and Implementation Strategy Final Report, my understanding is that road and rail will be the two main modes of travel for getting to the stadium. If an accident were to happen on the M1 close to the proposed stadium and the motorway was to be closed off, then how will the fans get to the stadium? Replicating your example of Sunday's final between Chelsea and Arsenal, what will happen if there is a major signal failure on the proposed line to the Maze Stadium?
With a City Centre location, fans will have the option to walk to the stadium, thus reducing the reliance on road/rail transport. If travelling by road and a motorway is closed, they can take an alternative route - it is not a case of one way in and one way out. If there is not a train available, as you experienced in Reading, there are various other options that exist to get into a City, opposed to getting to the middle of nowhere.
Research on stadiums throughout the world has also found that supporters are more likely to stagger their arrival at the ground if the stadium is located within a City. Therefore, the pressure on the infrastructure will be lower at peak times, i.e. an hour before kick-off.
The Mori Poll was meant to be from a cross section of the population not just existing fans. That was the whole point of it.
Having studied statistics at University, I am fully aware of what a Mori Poll is. The figures in your survey indicate that 1054 people were surveyed, which represent 0.08% of the population (based on the population over 16 in the 2001 census). I personally do not feel this provides a large enough sample to accurately reflect the population.
One question I do have on the survey is that, if 41% of those surveyed are not aware that the government is proposing to build a new stadium, do the IFA feel they are doing enough to bring this important issue to their attention?
I am aware of all the issues you raise but what nobody has told me is what is the Plan B for the IFA if serious constraints are placed on Windsor Park. The only option on the table at present that appears likely to proceed is at the Maze. The issues for the IFA relate to maintaining WP for international football for the foreseeable future and compensating Linfield. I have asked others who have "proposals" how they intend to do that. I have had no reply.
By this statement, can I assume that newspaper reports suggesting the Government are blackmailing the IFA into accepting the Maze proposal are correct? Is it the case that if the IFA do not sign up to the Maze, then the Government will not provide the funding to bring Windsor Park up to the required level?
Can I ask what the IFA's 'Plan B' is if the Maze does not go ahead? If the Rugby & Gaelic representatives reject what is on the table and the project is not feasible, what will the IFA's contingency plan be? How will Windsor Park then be maintained for the foreseeable future?
I understand that the issue around compensating Linfield is a result of the IFA signing a contract to hold internationals at Windsor Park for approximately 80 years. Surely, as an association you should be learning from mistakes in the past and ensuring that the future of Northern Irish future will be protected for years to come. I seriously do not believe this will be the case if you sign a deal to take us to the Maze.
It is my understanding that there are a number of proposals from various developers on the table for a Stadium in Belfast. Indeed two of them were at the recent session in Belfast. If you are seriously interested in their proposals, why do you not continue to push them for the answers and expose them if they cannot deliver?
I am more than willing to place the questions upon them if you provide contact details of those involved.
I did not attend the session in Belfast recently as I was attending a UEFA Congress in Dusseldorf with our President. The letter sent to me did not even have the date of the meeting on it!
It is my understanding that four members of the Irish FA were asked to the session, yet not one attended. I attended the meeting to try and keep an open mind and listen to both points of the argument. Unfortunately, only Edwin Poots attended from a Pro-Maze camp and although he did raise some interesting points, he did little to convince me that moving to the Maze was in the best interest for Northern Ireland football.
This was a perfect opportunity for the IFA to lay their cards on the table, speak directly to the fans and ensure the fans understood your position once and for all. An opportunity sorely missed.
On the matter of the letter not having the date of the meeting on it, I will take issue with the organisers and ask why this was the case.
I cannot see how advice commissioned by the City Council of the feasibility of an in-city site could be deemed as "independent".
Where in my mail did I mention 'advice commissioned by the City Council'? Examples of the independent advice I refer to are Michael Smyth, lecturer on Economics from the University of Ulster, and Alan Clarke, the Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board to name a few. Are you trying to say they are not "independent"?
Again, I am interested in the opinions of block bookers, but do they have a Plan B that can be delivered within the time frame required? If they have, then please let me know. My major concern is retaining international football in NI.
If you are indeed interested in the opinions of block bookers, then why not write to them, explain your position and ask for their opinions/concerns? A term that politicians in this country often use is 'An open and transparent and process'. Perhaps by employing a similar method, you may be able to help the 'customers' of Northern Ireland football understand your position.
Please tell me what the options are that we have not considered.
As a 'professional' organisation, it is the IFA who should be fighting their corner and creating the various options for themselves. With all the evidence pointing against the Maze, should you not be going back to the Government representatives and demanding a re-think? Have you highlighted the case for a stadium in Belfast to them? Why can the money set aside for the Maze not be split between the three sports and used to develop their existing grounds?
I am sorry that you have taken the position regarding the IFA and its OSS. That is of course your prerogative. Please arrange to meet me to discuss some of these issues in greater detail if you wish to do so.
Thank you for your kind offer to meet and discuss some of the issues; however I believe it would be a more worthwhile exercise if you spoke to a group of supporters. I am not the only person who has strong feelings on the matter and indeed others may have entirely different views to myself.
Perhaps it would be an idea to invite the members of the Official Supporters Scheme to a debate around the proposals instead of having another Legends evening. This way you will get to put your points across, but will also be able to listen to the concerns of the fans.

Dear Mr. Wells,
I am writing to you in regards to a number of articles that have recently been published on the IFA website and the local media.
Firstly, I would like to take issue with an article published on www.irishfa.com, dated 21st February 2007, entitled ‘National Stadium Research’.
As a block booker, committee member of my local supporter club and member of the OSS, I cannot believe that I have never once been part of any survey - whether it be initiated by the yourselves or the Government. I attended the debate in the Waterfront Hall regarding the possible location of the new stadium and, personally, still cannot believe that there were no representatives of our football association taking part - even though they received invitations. You refer to us, the supporters, as ‘customers’. In any other business there would be uproar about how we are being treated. You appear to be taking our loyalty and passion for granted. Where were you & Mr. Boyce et al when the ‘customers’ were still singing for the team an hour after the match in Warsaw? Did you walk to the stadium in Vienna or Copenhagen? Before referring to some poll that is worthless, perhaps you should canvass the feeling of your own base support.
In regards to anarticle that was published within the Belfast Telegraph on the 27th February 2007 entitled ‘IFA Chief confused over Hain’s radio own goal’, I would like to take issue a number of points made by yourself.
‘And highlighting constraints of the Millennium Stadium's city centre location, he added: "The problems of pedestrians milling round the streets and flooding into the ground creates mayhem for the authorities and with better planning could have been avoided, as we witnessed in Germany last summer.’
In reference to this point, can I ask if you have actually ever been to the Millennium Stadium and actually mixed with the ‘pedestrians milling around the streets’? I have been to the Millennium Stadium on a number of occasions, most recently at the Wales –v- Ireland 6-nations match. In any of my times visiting I have never once witnessed this ‘mayhem’ you are speaking about. I have never heard or read any media reports making this point and in fact have heard quite the opposite.
In contrast, whilst living in Reading for 3 years and travelling to the Madjeksi Stadium every other week, I personally experienced the ‘mayhem’ that an out of town stadium brings with it. This stadium is right beside a major motorway junction (11 on the M4), which I believe will be similar to that of the proposed Maze stadium. Any visitor to the stadium will tell you of the chaos this causes on match day and how the system becomes gridlocked. You may say that public transport will be provided, but again I have seen first hand that this does not help when the surrounding roads/Motorways are at a standstill. This was highlighted at the recent London Irish –v- Ulster rugby match in December, when supporters were left stranded for several hours waiting for buses.
"Access to Cardiff by air, rail and road is also extremely poor.
Are you actually being serious about this? Can I ask how you have come up with this ludicrous statement? Some points to consider before answering
¬ Air
o Cardiff has an International Airport
o Bristol Airport is a 50minute train journey flight away from Cardiff
o Heathrow is little over 2hours drive away
¬ Rail
o The Millennium Stadium is situated right beside the main railway station in Cardiff. It takes approximately 5 minutes to walk to the stadium from the station
¬ Road
o The M4 runs from London directly to Cardiff.
o There are ample city centre car parks within Cardiff
o There are a number of park and ride schemes that operate
o How does Mr. Wells believe that the employees who work in Cardiff, but live outside the City centre, get to work on a daily basis?
"The constraints of the city site in Cardiff do not qualify the Millennium Stadium to be utilised for European finals on two counts, which rather suggests that the Minister has not done his homework, if he is hailing this to be among the best in the world. I would hope that we would do better in Northern Ireland."
Are you seriously trying to make us believe that the proposed new stadium will be capable of holding European Finals? Correct me if I am wrong, but is the minimum capacity to hold a final not 40,000? Would I also be correct in saying that the current proposals are to create a stadium that will hold less than 40,000?
As a supporter who has attended games in stadiums all over Europe, I can honestly say that the Millennium Stadium is the best I have had the pleasure of visiting. This is a fact that can be clarified by any supporter, whether it be Football or Rugby, who actually gets out and takes in the full match day experience that the Millennium Stadium brings. A point demonstrated by Mr. Hain.
With everyday that goes by, I am finding it harder and harder to believe that you have the best interest of the Northern Ireland supporters at heart. Will you be sitting with the fans in years to come on a cold, windy night against a low ranking team? I very much doubt it.
With your continued refusal to
a) Consult the actual ‘fans’ who have changed the National Team from it’s darkest days and attendances of less than 6,000
b) Listen to the independent advice from experts on out of city developments/stadia
I, for one, do not have any confidence in yourself or the rest of the Irish FA committee. This is a view I share with a vast number of supporters and is something that cannot continue to be ignored or swept under the carpet.
I urge you to take a challenge of writing to each of the Block-bookers and polling them on their thoughts. Perhaps then you will get a better picture of the true thoughts of the ’customers’. In the meantime, I will be refusing to purchase any items of merchandise from the IFA and will certainly not be renewing my Official Supporter Scheme membership. I will also be urging members of my local club, family and friends to follow suit.
Doubt it will do any good, but we have to make our thoughts known!!

Dino, I dont know where to start. The weekend was a nightmare, I have never been so humiliated and embarrassed in my life, but felt I had to get it out into the open and tell someone. ( please keep this quiet between us ). Well, I got hammered on Sunday as usual with all the footy on the tv etc, and ended up home quite late and my girl was in bed, all picture, no sound. So I recalled a very interesting conversation with a friend in the bar, who told me (after a few drinks) that having sex with liver in a jam jar, is nothing compared to a can of dog food. I laughed at first, but after he explained this to me in detail it really made sense. What you do is get a can of pedigree Chum, open the lid, and place the can in a saucepan of boiling water. The scoop out a couple of scoops, and get the knob in and hammer away. Well I thought I would give it a bash. So I got myself ready; nylon sock, the dog lead and them big knickers all ready. I felt sorry for my dog, he got all excited cos he thought he was first getting fed, then going for a walk. The truth (as he found out to his dismay) was he was getting neither. So I had a good session with the dog food, and I must say it works well, cos there is a vaccumm in the can when you whack it in. Brilliant. So far so good. Next thing I know I am having a great dream, some bird licking my rod, and then I woke up. I pulled them big knickers to the side, and there was my dog licking away on my dog food smeared weapon, and my girl standing, hands on hips with a very red face. Well, she went mental. She has now left me and has threatened to go to the newspapers and tv and tell them about me. (I would be ruined if she did, as I am involved in football teams and the church). The bitc* wants 2 grand a month to keep quiet. Do you know if I have done anything illegal, and if so, have you any idea what the punishment would be? Do you think I could get her shot by someone for a few crates of lager? I am even more worried about my dog. Between you and me, I think he is a 'weirdo dog'. I mean, I can understand he was hungry and the dog food attraction, but lately he has been acting really strange. The past two or three times when I have been at the wanking, everytime I open my eyes he is sitting a few inches from my face looking intently into my eyes, with his head thingyed to one side. I suppose I admit, I might look a bit odd to him with his dog lead up my arse, them big knickers on my head, and a sock over my root, but I dont think this is acceptable behaviour for a household pet. If he doesnt buck up his ideas, I am thinking about getting him done in. I think I need to get myself a lawyer and get some advice, but I am afraid they will laugh and tell others. (Especially those magistrates, cos I know they are well weird, even worse than me the things they get up to). I was thinking maybe I could call a vet, and ask him about some counselling for my dog, or maybe I could buy him a video? Some hypnotherapy or something. He still wont look me in the eye. Only when I am having some relief with the gear, or if he is doing number twos, he stares at me. It is quite unnerving. My world is crumbling. I have lost my girl, my dog is a voyeur, and my reputation is at great risk. I am crying now as I write this. It isnt funny.

A new stadium won't be in place for at least three years (at an extreme minimum), so the IFA will have to do something about the roof.
Rumour has it that they are considering taking the roof off the North Stand and giving out Macs, similarly to what they did at OT when it was getting redeveloped. You get Conference teams with better facilities than us.
Saying that, i would rather have a run down stadium like Windsor than a soul less, half empty stadium located in the arsehole of nowhere which you can't get in or out of!!
Re: Should we go to the Maze? « Result #27 on Jan 23, 2007, 1:22pm »
Looks like the Goverment really do have the IFA over a barrel on this one and they are going ahead with it no matter what. I see they are trying to bring the problems with repairiing the damage to Windsor into it now as well, surely the IFA will have to pay for that no matter what?
Hopefully something will come of the meeting this week and the goverment will actually take the views of the fans into consideration, I sincerely doubt it though. Good old 'new' Labour strike again, 'we've decided what's best for you and you're going to like it'.

1. Transport links are not, and will not be, sufficient.
2. Policing will and can be provided (despite the lies to the contrary the police have never been consulted)
3. Football for all campaign has done an amazing job just for politics to be brought back into the sport by moving to the Maze, Maze musuem anyone? It's hardly in line with keeping politics out of sport.
4. The government has actively worked for city centre stadiums in Cardiff and at the new Wembly and in Edinburgh too for tourism and economical reasons yet they want to push us out of the town centre to somewhere less accessible for supporters and tourists.
5. The IFA are the only sporting body who have to sign up completely to play in the stadium yet it will not be directly built with football in mind.
6. The loss of the unique Windsor atmosphere with a stadium that is too big and with supporters too far from the pitch.

Dino,
Thanks for that, but now I am really in big trouble.
A few years back I was in the far east, and there was this one girl who I was with for a while, and she was into all sorts of things. Without being too crude, she had these beads. Well, she persuaded me one night to try them, and she stuck 27 of them up my hole. When I was coming she ripped them out, and I have to admit, it was something else altogether. Anyway, it got me thinking the other weekend, about it, what with the knickers and socks thing, and my fears about things escalating were justified. I now not only use the big knickers and socks, but I have a dog lead, and its covered in studs, but it does the job just as well, in fact - if I am honest, its even better than the beads.
It hurt at first, but I am beginning to get used to it. Here is the problem; my dog doesnt want to go out for a walk anymore, I think it can smell something is up, if you know what I mean....
Thank f*** he cant speak or I would be in prison.
Whats next? Can I meet with you and discuss this in private? Will you promise you wont laugh?
I dont know who else to turn to, I called the Samaritans and the guy on the other end of the line couldnt stop laughing, and then put me on the speakerphone...the Bast***.

Big Rambo
First things first just calm yourself down. The main thing is not to panic in a situation like this. I get 100's of problems every week and it is not the 1st time i have come across a problem like this infact it is quite common nowadays.
I understand that you feel you have fallen into a trap and cant get out of it and that the temptation is always going to be there whenever you have had a few drinks to go out and do what we call nowadys knicker knacking! Trust me the temptation will go away i have met many men who have been in this situation and thought there was no way out and have now moved on and have even got themselves a job and believe it or believe it not even with the Ulster bank!!
Can i suggest that the next few months are crucial for you and what you need to do is be around close freinds over the christmas and when drinking think off other things apart from ladies underwear. Focus on something else for example like cute puppies or angels floating on the clouds.
If this doesnt work for you the best thing you can do is to make sure you have Hollyoaks omnibus or Babecast on the TV when you have the knickers on your head and are thropping off into the nylon soaks!! Trust me from what ive heard its the way forward!!
So to conclude Rambo dont panic, be around friends, think of other things and if no use tune into channel on a Sunday morning!!

Dino,
Its happened again, and this time its worse.
I had way too much to drink on Sat, and then on Sunday what with the football on tv and all, I got well hammered.
Anyway I woke up this morning for work, and found myself lying on the bathroom floor surrounded by not only the entire collection of knickers from before, but another tranche, and they were for, - lets say, a larger lady.
I think I know who owns them, but I am not sure. I even took some socks this time, and I am now getting a great kick out of putting the knickers on my head, and then thropping one off into the socks, - especially the nylon ones.
Do you think I should stop?
I am worried it may escalate further and I could get arrested.
If I dont get some advice, I am going to leave them at the church car park for the boot sale every saturday, and maybe move to Carrick to get away from the temptation.

ha ha, get the big man up top, there's entertainment value there all right! Still have to get him full and put him on the stage, I reckon that would get us a good start for funds toward Dinseyland, that and me winning the Euro millions tonight of course!!

Re: wales friendly!! « Result #50 on Nov 15, 2006, 9:48am »
Alright chaps!? Think we should def go for our own bus this time, especially seeing as it's on a Tuesday night. We can make it a proper TNC outing, you know, with some buns and cups of tea and some nice songs to keep us occupied on the way there
Who knows what Sanchez will do for the game, it would be nice to get some of the youngsters a bit of experience but then we also want to keep the good performances going and the confidence up. I think he should leave Healy on the bench mind you and try to get a goal for someone else!
